A Thule tailgate rack designed specifically for the VW T6. It’s simple to fit and easy to load and is suitable for all bikes, including heavier e-Bikes and large MTBs (with a wheelbase up to 127cm) but equally suitable for smaller kids bikes.
It can take bikes up to 30kg each (up to a maximum total load of 60kg) so it’s great if you have heavier bikes, electric bikes or larger mountain bikes (up to a 127cm wheelbase). It comes with long wheel straps with pump buckles to make it easy to secure your wheels.
e-Bikes: The WanderWay can take a maximum bike weight of 30kg and has a large spacing between the bikes so it’s ideal for a couple of e-Bikes (as long as you can lift them up onto the rack).
The bike frame holders are lockable and the arms are removable and can be positioned anywhere along the top of the frame, this makes it easier to position your bikes on the rack. They have AcuTight knobs that “click” when optimal torque is reached so you’ll know when your bike is secure.
As you would expect it sits clear of the lights and number plate, keeping both visible. The platform folds up when it’s not in use and it’s possible to open the tailgate (without the bikes loaded).
Important note: it’s not possible to fit this rack to a car with a spoiler or other modifications to the tailgate.
