The Thule K-Guard Kayak carrier a premium kayak carrier from Thule designed for transporting a single kayak securely and safely on a car roof rack. This is the first kayak carrier that locks to the roof rack and locks the kayak to the carrier. The K-Guard is shaped specifically to carry narrow Sea Kayaks and Touring Kayaks.
The K-Guard consists of two padded aluminium cradles and a pair of lockable roof rack straps. The cradles are tiltable for easiest possible loading and unloading of the kayak.
Compatible with standard Thule Square Bars, Aero Bars, Slide Bars, Wing Bars, and most other popular bar types.
Most roof bar systems are wide enough to transport 2 touring or sea kayaks side by side using the K Guards. You must check the roof weight capacity stated by your vehicle manufacturer.
For maximum security the kayak’s bow and stern should be secured to the vehicle and for this we recommend the Thule Quick Draw Bow & Stern Line.
